Bio| she's a lady We all have been degraded We all have been the greatest We all have been degraded We all will be the greatest of those three old favorites earth, wind and fire, i have always preferred the first. i can go either way on fire since it both comforts and destroys but the wind and i are not on speaking terms. too many years on the plains, i guess -- familiarity and contempt, you know. so when friends speak lightly of where they wish someday to be scattered - in the mountains, by a lake - i remain silent. i know without question that if i were to pick the perfect place, the wind would arise and have the last word on where i'd end up. no, i want no part of being scattered. i have been scattered already through all the towns of my life. just give me one small spot of earth that is mine and i promise to go quietly about the business of blending in. pushing up daisies sounds like noble work to me. |
